| Dentures are processed with
Ivoclar Pro-Base Hot or Pro-Base Cold Acrylic. The finer grain structure of these
polymerized acrylics results in a stronger denture. These are the only
methylmethacrylate acrylics we use for new denture fabrication, repairs and relines.
Ivoclar's superior quality combined with our craftsmanship results in a consistently
strong and visually pleasing prosthetic appliance for your patient. Standard denture teeth are selected from our inventory of Justi Imperial and Ivoclar quality hardened acrylic teeth. Premium teeth offered include Ivoclar Vivodent PE, or Ivoclar SR Antaris/Postaris hardened acrylic teeth. We also offer Ivoclar Orthsit PE or Major Cristal RA composite resin teeth. These teeth are very hard and wear resistant, with esthetics and wear resistance similar to porcelain teeth. |

In addition to quality acrylic packed dentures, Pickett Dental Laboratory is pleased to offer our dentists and their patients the added value of dentures processed with the SR IVOCAPâ injection system. Not all injection denture systems are the same. The SR Ivocap process provides continuous heat and pressure injection throughout the entire process, ensuring a precise fit. |
Because polymethyl
methacrylate is susceptible to shrinkage during polymerization, considerable inaccuracy in
the finished prosthesis can result. The SR Ivocap system incorporates a special procedure
which compensates for such shrinkage. An increase in the vertical dimension is also
avoided, so a precise occlusion is reproduced. Injection of the SR Ivocap denture material into the flask is done under 6 bar pressure and is maintained during polymerization. The SR Ivocap unit, under pressure, is then placed in a boiling water curing unit. The design of the flask plus the thermal insulator enables controlled polymerization from the bottom to the top. Polymerization shrinkage is constantly compensated for by the continuous pressure-feeding of the SR Ivocap denture material. After polymerization, cooling off is done in a cold water bath under continued pressure. The resin is still being fed into the flask during this process, continuing to compensate for shrinkage. The SR Ivocap premium denture system produces stronger, denser acrylic dentures, providing superior fit and patient comfort, and eliminates the possibility of "open bites" during processing, thus saving the dentist and patient chairside adjustment time.
